Cancer Care

The UW Medicine Accountable Care Network’s hospitals and clinics provide a complete range of childbirth and women’s health services. Expert OB-GYN physicians, maternal and fetal medicine specialists, midwives, nursing staff, and other practitioners specialize in healthy pregnancies and births, as well as extremely high-risk deliveries requiring complex prenatal and neonatal care. Other childbirth services include genetic counseling and fertility services, childbirth and new parent education. The network also provides extensive women’s health and gynecologic services, from routine preventive care to highly specialized treatment for complex or chronic conditions.


We understand how important it is for families to be able to get the best care for their children. The UW Medicine Accountable Care Network includes the region’s premier children’s hospitals – Seattle Children’s Hospital and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital – which provide world-class, specialized pediatric care. Additionally, there are hundreds of pediatric specialists, and many urgent care facilities for access to after-hours pediatric care.


The UW Medicine Accountable Care Network offers the most advanced cancer care available, whether the diagnosis is a common cancer or a very rare and complex form of the disease. Its comprehensive offering includes internationally renowned healthcare professionals, expert diagnosis, surgical services, medical and radiation oncology, education and support. The network is also home to the Pacific Northwest’s only proton therapy center, as well as some of the most pre-eminent cancer research organizations in the country, providing patients with access to clinical trials and the latest treatment protocols that may be their best chance for a cure.

Orthopedics

The cardiac specialists and clinics throughout the UW Medicine Accountable Care Network provide the full continuum of cardiac services starting with a particular focus on cardiac prevention and education. The network includes six Level 1 cardiac centers and the only two heart transplant centers in western Washington. Services range from expert cardiology, advanced cardiac diagnostic imaging, and minimally-invasive cardiac interventions, to complex cardiac surgery and cardiac rehabilitation.


The healthcare organizations that make up the UW Medicine Accountable Care Network have long been known for their expertise in the neurosciences, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-imaging and neurosciences research. The network has two Level 1 stroke centers, as well as Gamma Knife and CyberKnife centers that provide non-invasive radiosurgery for brain tumors and functional disorders of the brain. Many other clinics and centers throughout the Network focus on specific neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, concussion and brain injury, headache and sleep disorders, among others.


The UW Medicine Accountable Care Network provides expert orthopedic services for patients from the very young to the elderly. The network’s trauma centers, emergency departments and urgent care clinics are well-equipped to treat acute and traumatic orthopedic injuries. The network’s many clinics and programs specialize in joint repair and replacement, sports medicine, physical therapy and rehabilitation, osteoporosis, fracture prevention and repair, spinal care and surgery and many other musculoskeletal conditions.
